Day-to-day/Monthly/Quarterly Bookkeeping records.
Bookkeeping reporting can be carried out on-site at client offices when required, but more usually off site in our offices. It is a simple process of dropping off or posting your marked-up paperwork for us to work through and prepare your books.
We then provide fully annotated monthly/quarterly/yearly accounts preparation service.
These can then be used for running your business, producing VAT returns along with yearly assessment and tax returns. (We can also offer guidance on allowed expenses for self assessment purposes, where applicable).
When ready, the records can be collected (neatly filed and organised) in order for you to keep for the statutory 6 years.
A full service is also offered including the raising and tracking of sales invoices, along with the recording, tracking and payment of purchase invoices from the client bank account should you require it.
The majority of clients are happy to have all the information in Microsoft Excel, but we do have SAGE accounting should you prefer.
This gives you the opportunity to run the business and do what you do best with the knowledge that we are keeping an eye on the essentials.
We offer various service packages. Please contact us on 01344 669084 for more details.

Self Assessment & Corporation Tax returns
This is an area where many people greatly value our assistance. For personal self assessment tax returns, we help our clients collect all relevant financial information, complete the form on the client’s behalf, obtain approval and signature, then file on-line either with the client sitting in on the session or without.
Please Note: A tax authorisation form needs to be completed and sent to HMRC at least 2 months before the filing deadline. The earlier the self assessment return is completed, the better, especially if there is likely to be any refund!
Don’t delay call us today on 01344 669084.
Company Secretarial – Limited companies
Company Secretarial services comprise the maintenance of the statutory books of a company which are registered at Companies House. This is a legal requirement, and if they are not up-to-date, fines can be imposed. Since 2008, it is not obligatory for a company to appoint a company secretary BUT the duties remain with the directors as a further responsibility. Another piece of admin to weigh you down! Within this area we provide:
- Assistance in the preparation of the annual return
- Filing of the annual return
- Maintenance of the statutory registers
- Incorporation service & advice on addresses to use

We are happy to take you through these choices and look at where you are now, where you want to be in 2 years time, along with those important aspirations.

Business & Personal Plans
When starting out, you need to have a vision of what you want to do and where you want to go. Without a vision, how do you know what your goals are and more importantly, how do you know when you have reached them?
A business plan can be up to 3 or 5 years, but also it can be broken down into 90 day or quarterly chunks, but it is a living document that needs constant review and amendment.
At Performance Accountancy, we can help you write your business plan or just review it and raise questions with a “what if” mentality to help you think about the consequences.
